DESCRIPTION:<p>The Karnataka government has decided to revise minimum wages in 24 industrial sectors\, primarily those relating to private safai karmacharis\, Minister for Labour\, B N Bachhe Gowda said here today.</p>
 <p>The revised wages which came into effect from September 21 would be Rs 5044 (for A grade cities)\, Rs 4264 (for B grade cities) and Rs 3484 (C grade cities) on monthly basis\, he told reporters here today.</p>
 <p>This would translate into Rs 194 daily wages for A grade cities\, Rs 164 for B grade cities and 134 for C grade cities.</p>

 Chief Minister M Karunanidhi issued an order in this regard\, an official press release said.<br />
 The hike would be effective from October 1. Government would incur an additional expenditure of rs 8.40 crore per annum on account of this.</p>
