Ministry, TCS tie up for faster passport srvcs

TCS will be the technology partner and help in administration, however, the process will continue to be regulated by the passport officials

In a bid to reduce agent intervention and make the process simple, the external affairs ministry has tied up with the IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to simplify the passport services. An example of Gujarat, reported by DNA, said that the ministry is launching around five passport seva kendras (PSK) where TCS will be its partner.

TCS will mainly be the technology partner which will also look into the administration bit, however, the process will continue to be regulated by the passport officials.
