SAP launches mobile solutions centre in Mumbai

SAP India has launched its mobile solutions centre (MSC) in Mumbai. The MSC will help customers integrate its mobile solutions into their business strategies. SAP’s mobile industry experts will connect with businesses to help them get best practices and develop or expand their mobile strategy.

According to SAP, companies visiting the centre have the ability to interact with SAP solutions where they can gain hands-on experience of real-time mobile scenarios across industries. The MSC will showcase several SAP mobile solutions including the SAP mobile platform, SAP Afaria, Sybase 365, Mobile Commerce Solutions and SAP Rapid Deployment solutions amongst others. Businesses can run their apps on any mobile device such as smart phones and tablets on Blackberry, iOS and Android.

Every day SAP processes more than 1.8 billion messages reaching 5.5 billion subscribers, representing more than 90 percent of the world’s total mobile population. With its Mobile Solution Center, SAP aims to leverage business world with the power and simplicity of consumer mobile technology through its range of mobile business applications.

“The SAP Mobile Solutions Center will help enterprises review a mobile strategy that can provide their employees and customers ‘real-time’ access to information anywhere and on any mobile device”, said Oliver Bussmann, chief information officer, SAP.

Alok Goyal, chief operating officer, SAP India added, “We are enabling our customers and partners to manage mobile devices, develop and deploy mobile applications and help them to innovate in this important area for business growth.”
