Dhumal’s assets worth Rs 1.7 crore

The CM and his wife do not have any pending liabilities/overdues

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s and his wife Sheela Dhumal’s assets exceeded Rs one crore (Rs. 1,07,83,627), including bank deposits, agricultural and non-agricultural land, kisan patra etc. as per his declaration made public through right to information (RTI).

Dhumal’s own asset is little more than Rs 85 lakh while his spouse’s asset came around Rs 23 lakh. Both included movable and immovable assets.

The asset details of the chief minister and his wife were provided to RTI activist Dev Ashish Bhattacharya by the ministry of home affairs, Himachal Pradesh. It said, “Property tax, wealth tax and sales tax are nil of the CM and his wife. Both individual and HUF income tax returns for the year 2010-11 are filed.”

The RTI reply also said, “The CM and his wife do not have any liabilities/overdues pending to any public financial institutions and government.”

Details of Immovable Properties as on March 31, 2012 is as follows:-
 
(A) The Chief Minister - At Tikka Samirpur, Sangroh and Bohan in Tehsil Bhoranj Distt. Hamirpur the CM owns 25 kanals of agriculture land valued at Rs. four lacs only. The CM owns another piece of Agriculture Land at Bandla, Tehsil Palampur, Dist. Kangra as 0-2-36 hectares valued at Rs. Thirty Five Lacs only.  The CM neither owns any non agricultural land nor any commercial and residential building in his name. He has the 50 percent share in the ancestral house at village Samirpur, Teh Bhoranj Distt. Hamirpur which is valued at Rs. Fifteen Lacs only.

(B) The Wife of the CM- She owns agricultural land at Mahal Brahmni, Mauza Matti Morian 13 Kanals 14 Marlas to the extent of 6 Kanals 02 Marlas valued at Nine Lacs. Another piece of Agricultural Land is owned by her is at Tikka Bharnang, Mauza Matti Morian 1/3, 4 Kanals valued at 1.50 lacs.

(A) The chief minister  -  cash in hand is Rs. 45000/= only. Rs.4,47,444-75/= are in SBP Shimla East branch. FDR NO. 65090261032 of Rs 7 lac in SBP Shimla East. FDR No. 65102177719 of Rs. Ten Lac in SBP Shimla East. Rs. 981/= and Rs 11,184-34 in a/c nos 4588000100000015 and 12550100006835 of PNB HP Sectt. and UCO Bank Vidhan Sabha branch respectively.  The C.M. does not hold any bonds and shares in any company. CM holds Kisan Vikas Patras of Rs. 15000/= only. He owns one Innova Model 2007 bearing regd no HP 21 A 0009.  In the name of jewellery the CM owns golden chain and rings of 120 gms. Only as per the market value.  In the HUF account of Kangra Centrl Cooperative Bank (KCC) a/c no. 2000999 the C.M. holds Rs. 8,83,693-00.

(B) The Wife of the CM - The cash in hand is Rs. 18000/- only. In the a/c no. 10085127887 of SBI , IDC, Jalandhar she have Rs. 60,987/- only.  In Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCC) a/c no 2000099 she have Rs. 2,61,850/- only.  She holds deposits with a pvt. company of Jalandhar to the tune of Rs. 2,62,000/- only.  She also holds H.V.I. shares of Rs. 6,27,498/- only. In the name of jewellery she is having gold ornaments 540 grams, two diamond sets and silver as per market value. No market value is provided.
