PM to meet Sushma on Monday to decide on CVC

Prime minister Manmohan Singh, home minister P Chidambaram and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj will meet on Monday to decide on the next central vigilance commissioner.

On Thursday, Prithviraj Chavan and Swaraj had an informal meeting in which he briefed her about the service record of the three senior most officials on the panel: T Nand Kumar, Ashok Chawla and P Thomas.

Pratyush Sinha, the current incumbent, retires on September 8.
