TET irregularities: UP secondary education director arrested

PTI | February 08 2012

Share

Uttar Pradesh's secondary education director has been arrested in connection with alleged irregularities in the state Teachers Eligibility Test.

Sanjay Mohan was arrested by Ramabai Nagar Police yesterday in Lucknow after his name surfaced during investigations into irregularities in TET conducted in November last year.

"The director was arrested from Lucknow last evening and has been brought to Ramabai Nagar for interrogation," Superintendent of Police Ramabai Nagar Subhash Dubey told PTI over phone.

Five persons were arrested on December 31 for allegedly duping several TET candidates of Rs 87 lakh.

The accused had lured the unemployed youths by promising them jobs in the TET competition held in November last year.
