Haryana reserves seat for Kashmiri migrants, state toppers

One seat each in every discipline in all institutes of technical education for Kashmiri migrants, state toppers

The Haryana government has reserved one seat in each discipline in the state's technical institutions for Kashmiri migrants and Haryana Government Senior Secondary School Toppers (HGST).

The reservation for Kashmiri migrants were above the sanctioned intake, while it was within the sanctioned limit for HGSTs, a spokesman of Haryana State Counselling Society (HSCS) said here today.

Admission under Kashmiri migrants category would be made on the basis of merit in qualifying examinations, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

The former are required to submit the attested copies of the migration certificate and marks sheet of the qualifying examination for admission to these seats, he added.
