The Rajya Sabha members will now get blackberry services offered by the MTNL and BSNL.

The decision was taken by the committee on provision of computer equipment to members of Rajya Sabha.

The charges towards the blackberry services package as well as value added services will be adjustable against 1,50,000 free calls available to the members.

The members will get unlimited free data download, email and instant messaging services and free missed call alert when phone out of coverage area. They will also be able to access free mobile TV on their blackberries where approximately 50 non-premium channels will be provided besides a 3G plan.
