Justice Rajesh Tandon, chairman, Cyber Appellate Tribunal spoke about the Information Technology Act and efforts by the government on creating awareness of cyber law during the National Seminar on Enforcement of Cyber Law in New Delhi organized by the National Project Committee and Cyber Appellate Tribunal in May this year.
Justice Tandon spoke on the Section 47 of the IT Act which elucidates the factors to be taken into account by the officers while adjudicating the quantum of compensation. He also highlighted the section 57 of IT Act according to which the appeal against the order of controller or the adjudicating officers lies with the cyber appellate tribunal.
