Prem Das Rai member of Lok Sabha from Sikkim talks about governance of his state.
He says that governance of Sikkim is one of the key issues that they take pride in for being very, very good. It goes down to the level of the panchayats. In three districts the state has panchayati raj in full flow.
Interestingly, in north Sikkim, there is the Zumsa system of local governance. It is a unique system of self-governance where all local disputes are settled by a totally representative body of the village. He further talks about women empowerment which he says is well implemented in Sikkim.
