Pegu is project coordinator at Public Services International - a global trade union federation. A native of Assam and alumni of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, he is keenly interested in social movements, tribal and labour issues. His blog www.voiceoftheoppressed.in initiated in 2009 was a small endeavour to amplify and coordinate voices of the tribal communities in the northeast, but has slowly expanded to highlight issues in South Asia too.
