S.R.Rao is additional secretary, e-governance with the department of information technology, government of India and is the nodal officer for e-governance implementation in the country. Rao spoke on use of mobile technology for service delivery and financial inclusion on the second day of the 13th national e-governance conference at Jaipur. Rao mentioned that government of India has established an inter ministerial group for evolving a framework for delivery of basic financial services using mobile phones which is looking into various issues related to the adoption of technology.
