MP to be 'golden state' in three years

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan's govt will implement a 70-point programme for the same

A high powered meeting chaired by Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held at the Secretariat has decided upon a time frame of three years to implement the 70 points passed at the special session of Assembly, to turn MP into a golden state.

It was decided last evening at the meeting that all points, except that of needing more financial resources, will be implemented within this period, an official release said here today.

Wherever there is necessity for policy decision and amendments in laws, the concerned departments will send the matter at the earliest to the cabinet for approval.

For the points on which schemes are to be made and works of constant nature, the concerned departments will prepare work plans within a period of one to three months.

Cabinet members, chief secretary, all in-charge additional chief secretaries of the concerned departments, all principal secretaries were present.

At the beginning Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that according to the pledge, roadmap of development of the state has been prepared.

He said that he will discuss in detail about points separately with the departmental heads in next one month.

The chief minister said that concerned departments should send letters pertaining to subjects related to the Central Government.

The main subjects are financial assistance to implement the Right to Eduation Act, coal to thermal power plants, number of families living below the poverty line etc.

The departments presented estimates for construction of roads linking division and district headquarters, tap water scheme implementation in villages with a population of 500-1000, additional power generation scheme, feeder separation, use of irrigation potential, and renewal of marketing cooperative societies.

With regard to master plans for villages, Chouhan said for making them ideal and beautiful, basic facilities should be developed and the suggestions of villagers should taken into consideration while preparing the plan.

He said that giving certificate of house to residents and disposal of revenue cases within time limit are also important. He asked the revenue department to prepare detailed work plan in this regard.

Chief secretary Avni Vaish said that for a point of pledge which is associated with more than one department, one of the departments has been made a nodal one.

The nodal department will give progress report of the implementation of the point.

Chief minister Chouhan hoped that all departments will work within time limit to achieve the fixed targets.
