Green Buildings

Mili Majumdar, an expert from TERI, makes a brief presentation on the concept of green buildings, policy initiatives in this area and what you can do to reduce the carbon footprint of your building.

Mili Majumdar, Associate Director, Sustainable Building Science, is an Architect-Building Technology professional with specialization in energy efficiency and development of sustainable habitats. She has over 14 years of experience in the field of energy and environment with core expertise in sustainable development of habitat and buildings. Principally heading TERI’s Sustainable Building portfolio, she is currently involved in the strategy, design and planning of energy development initiatives in post disaster areas, rural poor and urban communities.

In GNtalk, Majumdar speaks about green buildings and why they are necessary. She also talks about a new system introduced by the government to rate green buildings and the little things that we can do to make our existing buildings energy efficient.
