Brig. (retd.) J S Antal is the Executive Director - Corporate Affairs at Security and Intelligence Services (India) Limited. An ex-army man, Antal believes that security needs can be more effectively addressed if the state allots a greater role to the private players in the sector. He says as security needs are increasing, the state is being constrained by a lack of man-power for the same.

Antal says that with proper traing and adeqaute legal powers, private security personnel could supplement the service that the police provides citizens.
