S.R.Rao is additional secretary, e-governance with the department of information technology, government of India and is the nodal officer for e-governance implementation in the country.

Rao spoke on use of mobile technology for service delivery and financial inclusion on the second day of the 13th national e-governance conference at Jaipur.  

Rao mentioned that government of India has established an inter ministerial group for evolving a framework for delivery of basic financial services using mobile phones which is looking into various issues related to the adoption of technology. 

Here’s what Rao said, during the second panel discussion on, “Mobile technology for service delivery and financial inclusion” at the conference.
