Most educational institutes in India are obsolete

Sam Pitroda, adviser to prime minister Manmohan Singh on information infrastructure and innovations, spoke on research, collaborations and governance at the PanIIT - Higher Education Conclave, at IIT Delhi. Pitroda said that most of the Indian institutes are obsolete, having been set up 50-60 years ago while India needs substantial new instituions in the Asian century.
