Saksham wins Nasscom awards

The scholarship management system has been developed by National informatics Centre Lucknow

NASSCOM Foundation, the social development arm of NASSCOM, today announced Saksham, the scholarship management system of the National informatics Centre (NIC) Lucknow as the winners of the Social Innovation Honours 2013.

The awards, organised in partnership with Genpact, celebrate innovations that promise to bring social change in India. Participants from across public, private and not-for-profit sectors showcase innovations in the form of a principle, an idea, an intervention or a combination of all of the above.

The winners will be recognised at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2013.

The winner was selected from an eminent jury comprising of S. Ramadorai, Tata Consultancy Services Limited; Ganesh Natarajan, Zensar Technologies; Jaithirth (Jerry) Rao, Value Budget Housing Development Corporate of India Pvt. Ltd.; Prof. M.S. Ananth, Visiting Professor IISc, Bangalore and Former Director, IIT Madras and Rama Bijapurkar, Expert, India’s Consumer Economy and business-market strategy.
