Functioning of state government offices across Bihar was affected as the indefinite strike by over three lakh non-gazetted employees entered its fourth day today showing no signs of settlement.
Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF-Gope Group) and Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF) leaders claimed that the strike was total and had severely affected the functioning of state government offices across the state.
About three lakh non-gazetted employees are on strike to press for removal of alleged discrepancies in implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission report.
BSNGEF-Gope Group General Secretary Rambali Prasad and BSNGEF president Manjar Kumar Das ruled out possibility of withdrawing the strike unless the state government conceded their demands for removing the anomalies in the implementation of the central pay scale.
They decried the state government for its alleged apathy towards talks for an amicable solution.
