Opposition AIADMK, Left parties, MDMK have called for a bandh here tomorrow in protest against the 'delay' of the Congress government here in getting Medical Council of India approval for the first State medical college.

A Anbalagan, AIADMK local unit secretary led a team of functionaries and workers of other parties told meetings that the government was adopting `injurious policies` like regional reservation policy affecting students here. this was 'unconstitutional' and causes a wedge among students of different regions of Puducherry` he said.

The bandh is aimed at urging the government to give up the regional reservation in admission of students to professional courses, he added.
