NTPC has income of Rs 19,960.35 crore in Q2

 India’s largest power generator - National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), having installed capacity of 51,708 MW, has declared financial results for the second quarter and half-year of the current fiscal.

In the first half of FY 2017-18, NTPC generated 129.457 billion units (BU) against 125.148 BU generated in the corresponding period of the last year, posting an increase of 3.44 percent. 
 
In the same period, NTPC coal stations achieved plant load factor (PLF) of 77.81 percent as against national PLF of 59.97 percent.
 
On half-year basis, the total Income of Rs 40,502.28 crore for the first half of FY 2017-18 showed an increase of 4.36 percent. 
 
The total income for the second quarter of the fiscal stood at Rs 19,960.35 crore, registering an increase of 1.90 percent.
