"IT services need to be taken to villages, and its success will be measured in real sense when children in villages start saying 'Ka  se Kamputer and not Ka se Kabotar’", said  Minister of State for IT Sachin Pilot at the two-day national conference on e-governance which began in Jaipur on Thursday.
 
Piolt said e-Governance would be a success when government services were made available as easily in villages as in the metros. The minister added that the government was committed to ensuring government Services in all 6.4 lakh villages across the country.
 
He said the government had translated various software products in all 22 official languages to ensure that the government's IT schemes reached the citizens in the language they speak. He assured Rajasthan government full support and sanctioned Rs 77 crore.
 
The minister said the focus should now be on executing the National e-Governance Programme. He also spoke about the challenges of cyber-security which needed to be addressed at all levels.
