In one of the largest arms recoveries in recent months, joint security forces in Manipur have seized more than 200 illegal weapons along with ammunition and explosives during coordinated search operations across the state’s hill districts.

The operations were carried out between the night of July 3 and the morning of July 4 and  led by combined teams of the Manipur Police, Assam Rifles/Army, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The raids took place in Tengnoupal, Kangpokpi, Chandel, and Churachandpur districts, following intelligence inputs about the presence of large caches of arms and warlike stores.
