Rao who has, during his career of 25 years, worked in senior capacities in the print and electronic mediums, including at the Indian Express, Times of India, India Today group, DNA, Star News and Zee News. Managing Editor Ajay Singh is a veteran of political reporting and analysis, while Anupam Goswami, also an executive editor of the Business India, is the people's editor.

What has brought these top editors (and the rest of the team with diverse experience in journalism) on to this platform is one core belief: that governance is not an issue to grapple with only between two Rakhi Sawant reality shows like the mainstream media seems to believe. Both governance and the lack of it impact our lives more than anything else in our ecosystem. Demands for better governance are on the rise and new policies and concepts of governance are popping up like corn on a flame.
