Are Kejriwal’s house pickets faster than his fast?

GN Bureau | August 27, 2012

The public response to Anna Hazare’s second sit-in at Jantar Mantar in July was just lukewarm when compared to the huge support his April 2011 fast had generated. However, it was certainly more noticeable than the one flop show at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, in December 2011. Critics blamed the lack of energy in India Against Corruption’s movement on a lack of clear strategy among its leaders.

At a time when the political class had written IAC off with an obituary, Arvind Kejriwal’s protests outside the residences of PM, Sonia Gandhi and Nitin Gadkari on the issue of coal block allocation brought Delhi to a virtual halt on Sunday. Kejriwal’s break from the routine seems to have breathed in a new lease of life into Hazare’s crusade.

Do you believe Kejriwal’s house pickets is a better strategy than IAC’s previous sit-ins and fasts?
