Chennai-based business school launches online course

Course to be delivered in collaboration with Cognizant Technology

A leading business school, Centre for Social Initiative and Management (CSIM) today launched a online course on Social Entrepreneurship to encourage entrepreneurs.

The Chennai based school has tied-up with leading IT company Cognizant Technology Solutions for offering this new course, CSIM Founder P N Devarajan said.

'This course aims to promote Social entrepreneurship across India in an easy and accessible method' he said at a function here.

He said they have received about 150 applications for the four month course.

Stating that they have developed the application for offering this online course, Cognizant Technology Solutions Vice-Chairman Lakshmi Narayanan said in future they would constantly update the software for offering this service.

The online course was formally launched by IIT Madras Director M S Ananth.

CSIM currently has four centres in the country. They aimed to reach 100 centres by 2015, CSIM Director Latha Suresh said.
