Software solutions provider ElectraCard Services (ECS), a subsidiary of Opus Software Solutions, has signed an agreement with public sector Union Bank of India for offering e-commerce services through their application -- electraECOMM.

ECS's electraECOMM is a secured online real time payment processing solution that supports all major credit and debit cards. It provides transaction acquiring and processing interfaces to online merchants and customers.

Through this association with Union Bank of India, ElectraCard Services would host merchant management systems from its data centre in Mumbai.

Besides this service, Union Bank of India has also implemented electraSECURE, a solution that would offer safe online transactions, a company statement issued in Mumbai said.

"Handling more than 70 per cent of ecommerce transactions in India, electraECOMM is one of our flagship solutions. We are confident that our platform will provide a ecommerce experience to Union Bank of India", ElectraCard Services CEO Ramesh Mengawade said.

ElectraCard Services enables financial institutions retailers and corporations to electronically process any type of payment transaction, including credit and debit cards, it added.
