Electronic scrolling boards have been installed at Ramanathaswamy temple here to display fees for various poojas and for taking bath in 22 holy wells of temples, a top temple official said today.

Joint Commissioner and temple Executive officer T Rajamanickam told reporters here that the board had been installed to prevent middlemen from fleecing devotees, mostly from other states. Besides new rooms had been constructed to enable pilgrims change dresses after taking bath in wells.

A scrubber and drier had been purchased to clean and dry the temple floors and prevent accumulation of fungus, he said

In view of the security threat after the Delhi blast, 14 CCTVs had been installed at important locations to monitor those entering and going out of the temple, he said.
