Gujarat's XLN project nominated for national award

XLN is a one-stop shop for regulatory officials, the industry and the general public which has helped in speedy disposal of applications, thereby bringing transparency and efficiency to the system

The Gujarat government has nominated its food and drugs control administration's Xtended Licensing and Laboratory Note (XLN) initiative for a public administration award given by the prime minister. XLN helps in regulating the sales and manufacturing of drugs, food and cosmetics and issuance of licenses. XLN is also a one-stop shop for regulatory officials, the industry and the general public which has helped in speedy disposal of drug certification applications, thereby bringing transparency and efficiency to the system.
The prime minister's ward recognises and rewards extraordinary and innovative work done by the officers of central and state governments. The wards are given on April 21, civil service day, every year.
