The Madhya Pradesh Public Health and Engineering (PHE) Department has introduced a SMS service for registering handpump complaints in a bid to ensure water supply to rural population in this district during summers.

Under this, any person can SMS his/her complaints regarding handpump failure to cell numbers of assistant engineer or sub engineer of the department, who in turn will take prompt action, officials said.

The phone number of the concerned officials have been made public, they added.
