HC to introduce case status inquiry on mobile phones using SMS

In Maharashtra get case status through SMS, phone and internet

In the interest of the litigant public, the Bombay High Court is introducing "case status inquiry" on mobile phones using SMS text on August 15.

The service would be inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan in the presence of Chief Justice Mohit Shah, Kiran Bobade, Deputy Registrar (IT) Kiran Bobade, said in a release here.

The SMS text messages would be sent to mobile number 09212357123 in a prescribed format and a reply SMS would be received instantly.

The SMS service is being developed with assistance of National Informatics Centre and is in addition to the service already in place over the internet (High Court website -- http/bombayhighcourt.nic.in) and over phone (22673090).
