HP launches new security services delivered through cloud

Enterprise Cloud Service Vulnerability Intelligence provides information on newly discovered potential threats

HP Enterprise Services on Tuesday launched new security services delivered through the cloud to "help enterprises mitigate  risk by reducing security vulnerabilities".  "The new HP Enterprise Cloud Services help organisations mitigate risk against

potential security vulnerabilities while lowering the financial commitment often required for security contracts", the  company said in a statement.

Security vulnerabilities are a constant threat that can compromise critical information and lead to loss of private, protected information. If a security breach occurs, the affected organisation may suffer damage to both its reputation and  market value, it added.

The company further stated HP Enterprise Cloud Service?Vulnerability Scanning reduces risk of data loss or unauthorised access by eliminating common security mistakes such as missing patches and incorrect software configurations.

HP Enterprise Cloud Service Vulnerability Intelligence provides information on newly discovered potential threats that have been identified by vendors or researchers since the last vulnerability scan took place, it added.
