Dodging police personnel at certain intersections in the city may not help traffic violators anymore, with the traffic police asking people to use Facebook as a tool to help nab the culprits.

The citizens can take photograph of the vehicle violating rules and post it on the traffic department's Facebook page.

Appropriate action will be taken against the offender after verifying the complaint, SP Traffic Rampal Gautam said in a statement today.

The photograph, with visible number plate and mentioning date, time and location of the violation, could be uploaded on the Facebook page of the traffic police, or sent through post to the department, he said.
