Narayanaswamy launches minister’s interface in CPGRAMS

In a bid to improve governance, the minister of state for personnel, public grievances and pensions V Narayanaswamy has launched a minister’s interface in centralized public grievances redress and monitoring system (CPGRAMS) in Delhi on Thursday.

Through the interface, which is a single window application for online receipt of grievances, a citizen can lodge or register a complaint and forward it online to the concerned department for timely redress action. CPGRAMS is accessible at http://pgportal.gov.in.

In 2012, CPGRAMS has received around 21, 650 grievances. 

According to the system, each ministry has designated joint secretary level officer as nodal director of grievances to redress and monitor public complaints within a time limit of two months. It will further take reports of the online receipt of grievances and will scrutinise and upload the action taken, sending e-mail alerts to the citizens and the public grievance officers.
