NeST Cyber campus and NJIT to provide Advanced IT courses

The over 130 years old NJIT is one of the top 20 technical universities in the United States and ranked 6th in offering Distance Education using modern teaching methodologies.

The first programme to be launched is an Advanced Post Graduate programme which will finally lead to obtaining a Masters Degree from NJIT, NeST Group Vice chairman and Managing Director, N Jehangir told reporters here.

Designed to meet the global business operation, the Advanced Graduate Programme in Managing Global Software Development and Service Operations was jointly created by NJIT and NeST Group of companies specifically to meet the needs of Indian an dother global marketplaces, he said.

Richard Schatzber, NeST Technologies chief commercial officer in US, said Global sevice operations require various success factors to enable effective and profitable operations.

These factors include effective communication, both verbal, written and presentation communication skills, effective oversight and supervision and secure infrastructure which meets operational needs.

The Advance Graduate programme is designed for professionals who operate, manage and work within the global software development arena whether their job functions are related to business, knowledge process outsourcing or operations,

Dr Atam P Dhawan, Dean NJIT said the institute would work with corproates here to fine tune the courses with corproates here to meet the challenges of companies.

Courses offered are on Software Project Management, Advanced Professional and Technical Communication,Enterprise Architecture and Integration and Network Management and Security, he said.

While the first two courses will be held in kochi and thiruvananthapuram from January next year, the remaining two courses would be conducted by september 2012, Dr Gale TenenSpak, Associate President for Continuing Education NJIT said.

The tution fee for each course is 2,244 USD.

Courses will be collaboratively led by an NJIT faculty member from the US along with an Inida based instructor and the course sessions would be held at NeST Group of companies CyberCampus facilties.
