Online firm official arrested for cheating

Lured investors by promising a thousand amount every month for watching advertisements and clicking on the links provided by ads on their company's website

An official of an Uttarakhand-based online company, which allegedly vanished with over Rs 15 crores from investors of Uttar Pradesh was arrested from Vikas Nagar area of Lucknow, police said oin Friday.

Additional Director of UK Ad World Venkatesh Kumar was arrested Thursday, they said, adding the firm had lured investors by taking Rs 6500 from them and promising Rs 1000 per week if they watch advertisements and click the links provided by those ads on their company's website.

The investors had lodged an FIR at Hazratganj police station against the company on July 10, they said.
