Punjab introduces online counseling for B.Ed

GNDU to conduct online counseling
PTI | June 02 2010

Share

With a view to optimise the current admission process and make it more transparent, the Punjab Government has decided to conduct the centralised online counseling for B.Ed. course for the session 2010-11 in the government colleges and affiliated institutions.

Education Minister of Punjab Upinderjit Kaur said the online admission process would be entirely transparent, time-saving and economical.

The Minister further said that the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar would conduct online counseling through the web.

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories would be as per the rules of the Central Government/State government, whichever is applicable, she said.

There would be a relaxation of 5 per cent marks in favour of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates, she added.
