Son of a government official from the Revenue Department of Padadhari town was caught when he appeared as a dummy candidate for his father during a computer practical exams held here, district officials said today.

The incident took place yesterday during certificate course in computer examination which is necessary for government employees for promotion, they said.

Nearly 800 candidates appeared in the exam at Mahila College centre, sources from the college said, adding one of the candidate was caught after found to be dummy candidate.

Shyam Maheta was giving the practical exam for his father Himmat Maheta who is working with the revenue department sources said.

When supervisor sought receipt and identity card both were found to be tampered and revealed that Shyam had come to give exam for his father, they added.

However, no complaint was registered with the police, police said.
