Sectoral regulator Trai today launched its consumers complaint monitoring system (TCCMS) portal to help telecom subscribers get information on complaint redressal.

"Called TCCMS (www.tccms.gov.in), the portal would facilitate telecom consumers in locating Consumer Care Number, General Information Number and contact details of the complaint centre and Appellate Authority of their service provider," an official statement said.

The portal would also help access the website of service provider's complaint monitoring portal to track the current status of complaints or appeals lodged with complaint centre or Appellate Authority, it added.

The portal will also help Trai in monitoring the status of redressal of complaints lodged by the consumers with the service providers.

"It is felt that this portal will help to enhance the effectiveness of the grievance redressal mechanism," the statement said.
