Vijaya Bank launches e-Deposit facility

Customers with internet banking facility can obtain fixed deposits at the click of a button

Bangalore-headquartered Vijaya Bank on Tuesday launched 'e-Deposit' facility. Under this initiative, customers with internet banking facility (V-Net Banking) can obtain fixed deposits at the click of a button, speedily and conveniently from their homes, avoiding the hassle of making a trip to the branch. Instructions regarding interest and principal repayment, premature closure and renewal can also be given online, the bank said in a statement.

Online system to redress grievances of power consumers Director, Power Reforms has been asked to set up a consumer complaint cell headed by a chief engineer or superintending engineer. An online system will be developed to redress the grievances of electricity consumers in Haryana, state power minister Ajay Singh Yadav said in state capital on Thursday.

"The online system would enable consumers to forward their grievances any time through e-mails to the cell, which would function round-the-clock," Yadav said.

The minister said the Director, Power Reforms has been asked to set up a consumer complaint cell headed by a chief engineer or superintending engineer. An additional post could also be created for this purpose, if needed.
