Advani to flag off NDA rally

Rally will highlight the corruption under the UPA regime and price rise

PTI | February 4, 2011

Senior BJP leader L K Advani will be arriving here on Saturday to flag off a campaign against the Central government, highlighting the issues of corruption and price rise.

With many prominent leaders having already arrived in town to back the 'Mahasangram Rally', other senior BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj as well as top leaders from allies Shiv Sena, JD(U) and Akali Dal, are also likely to attend it.

Local BJP workers told PTI that the party aims to gather a mammoth crowd in the rally at the historic Fulbagh Maidan here to strongly oppose corruption and inflation prevalent in the Congress-led UPA regime.

Leaving no stone unturned to make it a great success, special BJP teams have been created which are visiting several villages to promote this rally, they said.

Fellow BJP workers in the neighbouring districts have also been instructed to collect as many people as possible.

Women and youth wings of BJP are also campaigning to make youths and women active participants of this rally, BJP workers said.
