Andhra Pradesh Assembly remained paralysed for the third day on Wednesday, as there was no let up in main opposition Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) demand for dismissal of six "tainted ministers".

A defenceless government appeared content with repeated adjournments of the House, as the treasury benches wore a deserted look due to poor attendance of members, including the ministers.

The TDP and the other opposition parties persisted with their demand that the government place files related to the 26 controversial Government Orders, doling out undue favours to certain companies and individuals, who in turn invested huge funds in businesses promoted by Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, and dismiss six ministers involved in the whole affairs.

As the TDP members rushed into the Well of the House, Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the proceedings first for 15 minutes.

A similar scene was witnessed when the House re-assembled after an hour, leading to the second adjournment for 30 minutes.

Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu met TDP leader Payyavula Keshav in the Assembly lobbies and requested the opposition to let the House run smoothly. "It all depends on your actions and reactions," Keshav reportedly told the minister.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu were away campaigning for their party candidates in the by-election.
