Bandh-hit trains rescheduled

Southeastern railways and North-east Frontier railways worst-hit

Train services of South Eastern Railway have been disrupted following to agitations staged by the bandh supporters at different stations such as
Baripada, Ramrajatala, Jaleswar, Bhadrak, Midnapur, Chandrakona Road, Jharsuguda, Purulia, Balichak, Balasore, Anara, Salboni, Adra, Madhukunda and Nilgiri Road since Monday early morning.

Upline trains which left Howrah :
(Rescheduled trains of July 4 which left Howrah in the morning of July 5)

2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express

Cancellation of trains:
2021/2022 Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express
2828/2827 Purulia- Howrah Express
2885/2886 Shalimar-Adra- Arnayak Express
2262 Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express
2857/2858 Howrah-Digha Tamralipta Express
8001/8002 Howrah-Digha Kandari Express
2891/2892 Baripada-Bhubaneswar Express
0801/0802 & 8003/8004 Shalimar-Jhargram and Jhargram-Purulia Express
Short termination of trains:
8029 LTT-Shalimar Express arriving Tata will be short terminated at Tata and
will run as 8030 Shalimar-LTT Express from Tata to LTT. Hence service of
8029/8030 will remain cancelled between Tata-Shalimar-Tata.
8410 Puri-Howrah Sri Jagannath Express has been short terminated at
Kharagpur. Hence, the train will remain cancelled between Kharagpur –
Howrah.
2860 Howrah-Mumbai Gitanjali Express will leave from Kharagpur instead
of Howrah. Hence, the service of 2860 will remain cancelled from Howrah to
Kharagpur.
2872 Titlagarh-Howrah Ispat Express will be short terminated at
Chakradharpur and will run as 2871 Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express from
Chakradharpur to Titlagarh. Hence, the service of 2872/2871 will remain
cancelled between Chakradharpur-Howrah-Chakradharpur
2814 Tata-Howrah Steel Express will be short terminated at Kharagpur and
will run as 2813 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express from Kharagpur to Tata.
Hence, the service of 2814/2813 will remain cancelled between Kharagpur-
Howrah-Kharagpur.

Northeast Frontier Railway
Picketers supporting the 12-hour bandh have affected train operations in about 16 locations of N. F. Railway. More than 47 passenger-carrying trains have been regulated (either stopped en-route or cancelled) and the following trains have been rescheduled.

2505 Guwahati – New Delhi Northeast Express scheduled to leave
Guwahati 09.45 hrs is rescheduled to leave Guwahati at
13.00 hrs
5636 Guwahati - Okha Dwarka Express scheduled to leave Guwahati
at 10.45 hrs is rescheduled to leave Guwahati at 13.15 hrs
5651 Guwahati – Jammu Tawi Lohit Express scheduled to leave
Guwahati at 13.15 hrs is rescheduled to leave Guwahati at 13.30 hrs
4083 Alipurduar Jn. - Delhi Sikkim Mahananda Express scheduled to
leave Alipurduar Jn. At 07.30 hrs is rescheduled to leave Alipurduar Jn.
at 19.00 hrs

Railways make special arrangements for stranded passengers

Food stalls were kept open at major railway stations and essentials were supplied by the Eastern Railway on trains stranded due to the Bharat bandh today.

Supervisors, inspectors and officers were deployed in advance at major stations to assist passengers of detained trains, ER officials said.

"Arrangements have been made to supply water and power in stranded trains," they said, adding, medical booths were opened at the old and new complexes of the Howrah station with Railway doctors and para-medics on duty.

CPI(M) supporters distributed food and drinking water to passengers in stranded trains at Agarpara railway station in North 24 Parganas.
