The crisis in the Bihar BJP has blown over with Bihar BJP president C P Thakur withdrawing his resignation, a day after he quit the post ahead of the Assembly polls in the state.

Thakur, who flew down here yesterday, met BJP national president Nitin Gadkari at his residence last night and had a closed-door meeting with him before announcing his decision to withdraw his resignation.

"I am taking back my resignation and I am satisfied with discussions held with Gadkari," Thakur said.

Gadkari later told reporters the issue has been amicably settled.

On Friday, Thakur had sent his resignation to BJP high command apparently annoyed at being ignored in decision making and giving Digha seat to NDA ally JD(U). He had wanted his son Vivek to be fielded by BJP from either Digha or Bankipore.
