A slew of bills including one for setting up an equal opportunity commission and another on checking corruption in the judiciary and for ensuring accountability among judges will be tabled during the budget session of parliament beginning today.

A bill to streamline functioning of Wakf Boards across the country, the Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India Bill and another to check malpractices in educational institutes will also be introduced during the three month-long session.

Equal Opportunity Commission Bill seeks to lift the disadvantage classes in all sections including Muslims by prescribing diversity index for public and private sector.

If passed, the Judges Standards and Accountability Bill would check corruption in the judiciary and ensure accountability among the judges.
