Chhattisgarh gets heads for nine state bodies

Ending months of wait by BJP leaders and activists, Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh has announced the appointment of chairpersons to nine corporations and boards of the state government.

Singh has appointed senior BJP leader and MLA Badridhar Dewan as chairman of Chhattisgah State Industrial Development Corporation, official sources said today.

Other appointments are: Balihar Singh (finance development board), Ashok Sharma (textbook board), Leelaram Bhojwani (civil supply corporation), Gaurishankar Agarwal (mineral development corporation), Shyam Bains (seed and agriculture development corporation), former MLA Devlal Dugga (State ST Commission), Krishna Rai (tourism corporation) and Subhash Rao (housing board), they said.
