GN Bureau | November 19, 2013

As the India International Trade Fair (IITF) opens up for the public from November 19th, the IITF has introduced mobile applications that will provide all information that a citizen would like to know about the fair.

Citizens can access information by searching for “IITF2013” in the list of free apps. Alternatively, citizens can scan the Quick Response code and get the information.

This initiative has been rolled out by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). The mobile applications will allow citizens to access a variety of information, including event information, exhibition information and venue information, with daily updates regarding the new happenings at the fair, the ITPO said in a press release.

For people who have smartphones, information can be obtained at m.iitf.in. For citizens who want to scan the QR code to gain access to information, they will need a smartphone with a camera.

All they have to do is to follow a few simple steps:

1) In order to scan the QR codes the smartphone should have a QR scanner App installed

2) Once the QR scanner App is installed, focus Mobile Application Store and start it

3) Start the QR scanner App and focus the camera frame on the QR code.

4) Align the QR Code in the frame box. The application will automatically scan and read the QR Code data

5) Click or tap the URL to continue to the link and follow the instructions which appear
