MCD launches amnesty-cum-tax settlement plan

Both interest and penalty would be waved off

MCD has launched a special 'amnesty-cum-tax settlement' scheme to benefit property owners and tax payers for settlement of pending disputes.

For the benefit of property owners and tax payers within the jurisdiction of MCD, an amnesty-cum-tax settlement scheme has been launched, a release issued by the civic body said here on Tuesday.

Those persons who have not paid property tax under unit area method from the financial year 2004-05 and whose assessments have been made but have not paid outstanding arrears are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

The scheme is valid till March 31, it added.
