Delhi’s Patiala House court on Friday, directed the CBI, anti-corruption branch of Delhi Police and Parliament street police station to file an action taken report on the complaints of corruption in the commonwealth games 2010.

On November 14, members of the civil society including Baba Ramdev, Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare, Swami Agnivesh, DS Tewatia and Arvind Kejriwal had approached the Parliament street police station to get FIR registered in the case.

However, the police refused to register any FIR.

Then they filed a case in the Patiala House court on 15th of this month.

The petitioners alleged that despite providing evidence of corruption on 18 specific cases to all various investigating agencies, only four FIRs were registered in the case. “The petitioners have pursued with these agencies repeatedly but had received no response,” argued Somnath Bharti, lawyer of the petitioners.

Payment made to AM Films and its sister firm AM Car Hire and Van Company for Queens Baton Relay event in London by the organizing committee and corruption in purchase of medical equipment by Delhi were two of the cases mentioned in the petition.
