Sachin Tendulkar to bat for water

His ads will hit TV screens on Saturday

Come Saturday, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be seen appealing to Mumbaikars on their TV screens to use water judiciously, as the city is facing one of its worst water crisis, top civic officials said.

Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) will officially launch the 'Save Water' campaign featuring the cricket icon this Saturday.

"The advertisement featuring Tendulkar, where he spreads the message of save water will be officially launched on Saturday," a civic official said.

Once the advertisement is unveiled it will soon be seen on TV, the official said.

Last month, Tendulkar, shot the 30-second film, urging people to use water sparingly in the 'Save Water' advertisement campaign for the local civic body.

The cricket icon spreads the message of saving water in Hindi and Marathi.
